It's been a long lockdown and we have had lots of time to self reflect and spend endless time doing things to keep our sanity. One of my favourite pastimes is self care and I was over the moon when Beauty Belle asked me to try out their fabulous Timeless Truth Face Masks for the two week Face Mask Challenge for flawless skin.
I don't know about you, but I really miss my visits to the beauty spa! Lucky for us, Timeless Truth offers a variety of sheet masks to use at home which give the look, feel and results of a salon quality facial.
I chose the Apple Stem Cell Collagen Mask for my first treatment which promotes vitality of human skin stem cells and protects against fatigue, stress and pollution.
The mask was so easy to put on and left my skin feeling soft and replenished afterwards with enough product to even rub onto my neck too.
Next up, I decided to check out the Hydrating Bio Cellulose Mask, full of hyaluronic acid which creates fullness and gives a moisture boost to the skin.
This was my second favourite and my skin felt fresh and hydrated and I even felt like my make up went on beautifully that day.
Third in line was the Rejuvenating Bio Cellulose Mask which is packed with all the goodness you need to combat blemishes fine lines and imperfections.
The sheet mask has loads of serum and you can really feel it working to smooth the skin and leave it radiant.
Last but not least was my favourite, the Luxurious Gold Moisturising Black Charcoal Mask which specifically enhances the skins metabolism and boosts hydration deep within the skin, regenerating healthy cells.
I loved this one so much and really noticed a glow to my skin. I also found that this one fit the best on my face out of the range, plus it looks pretty cool on too!
The masks are so easy to put on, you just remove the protective films on either side and pull the mask round for the perfect fit to any shaped face.
I highly recommend the Beauty Belle, Timeless Truth Face Masks to anyone of any age and even sent some as gifts during this time of lockdown.
You can still order yours and try out the Timeless Truth Face Mask Challenge for only €19.99 for the four sheet masks and the Anti-Aging Collagen Bio Cellulose Eye Mask, plus bonus hand cream, but only until the end of June.

Poetry Ireland has announced further details of some of the exciting events/initiatives on offer for Poetry Day Ireland 2020 on 30th April.

The theme this year - ‘There will be time’ – has been in the works since last autumn, long before the current guidelines were put in place in Ireland. It was partly chosen as 2020 is a leap year, when we gain an extra day of time that didn’t exist in the previous year.
Helen chatted to communications manager, Lisa Jewell about what we can expect from Poetry Day Ireland 2020...hear the interview below.
Hair doesn't make the woman, but good hair definitely helps!
There are many factors that affect our hair on a daily basis, from changes in hormones, to climate and even water quality. I am also someone who is out and about at functions and events quite a bit so my styling regime also takes its toll on my locks.
Recently I was gifted the Silcare Quin Hair Mask with silk and vitamins, from Beauty Belle Ireland, to try out and I have to say, it has made my hair look and feel really healthy and shiny.
My hair was feeling a bit on the dull side and with the season change it was brittle and feeling a little drab. After using the Silcare Quin Hair Mask a couple of times a week for the past 6 weeks or so, I can definitely see the results.
Highlighted blonde hair is prone to damage and feeling a little dry but with regular use of the Silcare Quin Hair Mask my hair feels smoother and regenerated thanks to the silk hydrolyzate which creates a thin, smoothing, protecting and conditioning film on the surface of the hair.
The mask is packed with vitamins too, such as B5 and vitamin E, which together with the coconut oil, really improved the condition of my hair.
The Silcare Quin Hair Mask is also paraben free and has a low pH, so it ticks all the boxes for healthy happy locks!

The seasons are changing and this means harsher conditions for our skin, especially our hands and if you are like me and always on the go, you need some extra TLC.
QUIN Coenzyme Q10 Hand Serum from Silcare is a must for every girl's handbag and I reckon even the guys will love this one!
I have been using it for about two weeks now and I can honestly say that my hands have never felt smoother and more hydrated. I am an on-the-go Mum with a hand in everything so this product has become an important part of my daily routine. I use it in the morning and evening without fail and keep it nearby for those times when my hands need some extra moisture and care.
The serum delivers on so many levels, giving a moisture boost, offering nourishment and giving my hands a softness and smoothness that I just love. It is absorbed quickly into the skin and has a gentle fragrance that lingers long after application. The skin on my hands also seems to be firmer and rejuvenated after using this product.
The experts at Silcare say "Regular use of coenzyme Q10 hand serum has beneficial effects on skin. It can prevent linked to the age loss of hyaluronic acid. Improves skin’s capability of delaying and even preventing it from unfavorable changes related to the ageing process as well as skin’s photoageing."
QUIN Coenzyme Q10 Hand Serum from Silcare has my vote and I woudn't be without it! Thanks for introducing me to this incredible product Beauty Belle!

Future Beauty, is a dynamic 2-day event, dedicated to educating consumers about the latest treatments and technologies in the fields of clinical beauty, cosmetic surgery and aesthetic dentistry.
The main stage will host hourly panel talks, with a host of Ireland’s leading medical experts on the most industry relevant topics from TWEAKments to cosmeceuticals, fat loss technology to Hollywood smiles, breast surgery to gynaecological concerns.
The show is the brainchild of sisters, Liz and Nikki Dwyer, who have observed that aesthetic treatments, cosmetic dentistry and plastic surgery are no longer just the preserve of the elite.
These have become very mainstream and are also being used to treat physiological problems too, from obliterating veins to saving back pain with a breast reduction, clearing adult acne to helping restore pelvic floor muscles. Many treatments are also just about looking after your looks and with an exponential rise in women having peels, laser treatments, injectables, cosmetic dentistry and even plastic surgery in the past few years, this is the Future of Beauty.
Liz, a stalwart of the beauty industry in Ireland (an award-winning Beauty Editor and journalist, a regular contributor to TV and radio and host of Extreme Beauty on TV3) feels there is an enormous gap between the consumer and the medical side of the aesthetic market. “No one is properly educating women about these treatments or how to safely navigate this unregulated industry. Should it be information on the breath of treatment options available across a wide range of issues, or the science, technology and/or ingredients behind them. Our aim with Future Beauty is to afford women an unbiased platform to educate themselves on the pros and cons all clinical aesthetic treatments. And we want to bring home the message, that if you’re going to do it, “do it right,” says Liz.
The show takes place over two days on 7/8 September at RDS, Dublin and you are invited to attend one or both days. Future Beauty visitors can expect the following lineup.
11.45pm: The most effective non-invasive “tweakments”
What really happens when you have a ‘tweakment’ such as Botox, facial fillers, laser treatment, chemical peels or Profhilo? Our experts debate the merits and pitfalls of each treatment and reveal which deliver the best results.
12.45pm: What are Cosmeceuticals and how they work?
Unlike cosmetics, cosmeceutical skincare can penetrate the skin. That's why they're so effective but using them can be complicated. Our experts simplify the science and explain which clinical ingredients work hardest for the most pressing skin concerns.
1.45pm: Goodbye exhausted eye area
Will ultrasound and laser treatment really minimise crows feet? Can hollows be safely reversed with a filler or is Botox better for lifting the entire eye area? Our Dermatologist panel divulges what works best for their patients.
2.45pm: Hollywood smile secrets: (Live Demo)
Be it bleaching or bonding, braces or veneers our dental panel discuss all of the latest smile-improving options. Watch as they perform a live smile transformation on stage.
3.45pm: Blast the fat forever: (Live Demo)
From freezing to lasering fat cells into oblivion, Tickle Lipo to Kybella, these new fat loss options that may help when diet and exercise only do so much. Our medical experts weigh up the pros and cons of each.
4.45pm: Breast Friends Forever:
Our surgical panel discuss transformative surgical options from fat transfer to lifts, breast reductions and augmentations, and literally everything you need to know about better boobs.
12.45am: Pelvic floor, prolapse and vaginal concerns
Your face is not the only place to lose collagen with age! Stress urinary incontinence and vaginal laxity can be treated with specific lasers. Our Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist explains how laser therapy can restructure and restore damaged tissues.
1.45: Non-invasive ways to alter nose and facial contours
Restoring lost volume and adding symmetry to the face and individual features with filler can dramatically change how the face looks. But in the wrong hands, a filler can be downright dangerous. We discuss how to avoid unwanted side effects.
14.45: Let’s get honest about the post baby body
The joys of motherhood are boundless but the effects of pregnancy on the body can be drastic. Our surgical panel discuss what really’s involved in a ‘Mommy Makeover’ and whether or not it's the best fix, or if non invasive options are as effective?
14.45: Solutions to rejuvenate the neck & jaw
Our medical experts weigh in on the most effective, non-invasive ways to smooth and tauten up this zone, from using ultrasound and radio frequency therapies to administering Botox in specific spots.
15.45 Leading dermatologist reveal their best skin treatment plans. Live Q & A with audience
They’ve over 70 years clinical experience between them, so they really know what combination of treatment, topicals and prescriptions work for turning around common skin concerns such as adult acne to eczema, pigmentation to wrinkles.
16.45 The evolution of the facelift
Our doctors and surgeons look back on how facelifting techniques have evolved from extreme surgery, weeks of downtime and questionable ‘wind tunnel’ results, to modern non-invasive options like threads, with no downtime and subtle results.
Future Beauty is happening on 7th and 8th September at RDS, Dublin with a fantastic panel of experts to give you all the info you need to choose the right treatment for you.

It’s been a very busy past few weeks for the likes of Connie Ferguson, Zenande Mfenyane, Dineo Ranaka, Lalla Hirayama, Letshego Zulu, Thembi Seete, Ayanda Thabethe, & Leanne Manas amongst others – who are all part of the #KrushGoodness Krew. They’ve been heading around the country delivering school shoes to children in need as part of the #KrushGoodness project. The project has officially come to an end with Leanne Manas and Brent “Good Things Guy” Lindeque having visited the final school in the Western Cape – concluding the delivery of the 20 000 school shoes for 2019.
Leanne Manas opens up shortly after her school visit to Siyabulela Primary School in the Western Cape.
What drew you to participate in the #KrushGoodness project?
I have an absolute passion for Education and anything that will assist the youth of this country rise up and become our future leaders!
What were you most looking forward to about visiting Siyabulela Primary School?
It’s one thing supporting a charity or school from a distance; it’s a completely different story visiting the people you are helping, getting to know them, understanding their circumstances, feeling their pain and joy and then offering them love and a helping hand where you can.
What, for you, is the biggest importance of helping our communities and children in particular?
If we don’t help, who will? We cannot rely on governments to do everything – we need to step up and get involved ourselves. There are certain things where we can make a difference and become active participants in community development and upliftment.
Are you involved with any other community or CSI initiatives personally? If so, are there ways for others to get involved as well?
I am an Ambassador for the UNHCR and travel the continent to refugee camps, highlighting the plight of the growing refugee crises and helping where I can. Anyone interested in getting involved can visit www.luquluqu.org or www.unhcr.org
What is the one piece of advice you have for young fans of yours?
You are the creator of your own destiny. You need to rise up above your circumstances with an attitude that says “I am bigger than this and no-one is going to stop me from achieving my dreams!”
What does the rest of 2019 hold for you?
I’m optimistic that this year is going to come with a lot of changes, some challenges and a couple of hills to climb. But I do believe once I reach the top of those Summits the view is going to be incredible!
