South County Dublin Welcomes Exciting New Restaurant, 'Eleven'

South County Dublin's food scene just got more exciting with the opening of 'Eleven', a new restaurant in Loughlinstown on the Bray Road. The restaurant's name was inspired by the N11, which is the main road that runs through the area.

The restaurant occupies the large first floor above the well-known 'Whelehan's Wines' and has been transformed into a warm and welcoming space with defined dining areas. It's the perfect destination for neighbourhood dining from day to night.

The restaurant boasts a 45-seater dining room in the light-filled front room, a large zinc-topped bar with seating for up to 20 people, and an area with high-top tables that can seat another 30 diners. Come summer, the expansive terrace at the back of the building will be a popular spot for al fresco dining.

At Eleven, you can drop in anytime from Wednesday to Saturday for dinner from 5 pm, and soon for lunch from 12 pm. On Saturdays, brunch is served from 11 am, and on Sundays, it's daytime dining only. The atmosphere is far from formal, making it ideal for enjoying small plates at the bar, lingering over lunch or dinner, or exploring the cocktail menu while listening to live blues music. Don't miss out on 'Oyster Happy Hour' on weekdays from 5 pm to 7 pm, where you can enjoy €2 oysters and €2 off the extensive cocktail list featuring many Eleven exclusives.

The restaurant's menu revolves around a Wood Burning Grill, which is at the heart of Eleven's culinary offerings. However, there's more to the menu than perfectly grilled meats and seafood. The food ethos is to serve the best and freshest ingredients, simply prepared and served. The menu ranges from Small Plates, Mains, and Grilled Dishes to Sharing Platters and Sunday Roasts, making sure there's something for everyone, no matter what your palate or preferences are.

Six Small Plates set the scene for what’s to follow. Among them, Achill Oysters served natural, or with lovage vinegar and cucumber (6/12 €17/€33) and Charred Prawns with lardo, bisque and sorrel (€15). Mains (from €24) include Handmade Pasta, alfredo, confit egg yolk, truffle, and BBQ Monkfish with bonito butter, white asparagus and lovage.

From the Wood Burning Grill (from €27) choose your dish and pick a side to accompany; Grilled Prawns, Seared Tuna Steak, Rib Eye and Striploin, with the meat from Creekstone (USDA) or John Stone Farms. You’re spoiled for choice with the Sides (€6); House Fries, BBQ Carrots, Hegarty’s Cheddar Whey, Charred Hispi Cabbage with Bacon & Kombu, Watercress Salad Apple Vinaigrette, Smokey Beans, Mash & Bone Marrow Butter.

For Sharing, served with two sides, go lighter with Dover Sole with sea buckthorn, olives and tomato (€65) to Côte de Boeuf (€78), Chateaubriand (€110) or a Tomahawk (POA).

If you're looking for the perfect Sunday Roast, Eleven has got you covered with a selection of the best Beef Striploin, Corn Fed Chicken, Free Range Pork Rack, and steaks, all served with their sauces, Yorkshire Pudding, Duck Fat Roasties, Gravy, Stuffing, Carrots & Hispi Cabbage starting from €23. Don't forget to finish off with the delicious Sauternes Crème Caramel with soaked raisins (€9). There are three sittings available at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm, but note that there is no dinner service on Sundays.

During the week, Eleven is an ideal spot for long and convivial lunches from Wednesday to Friday.

Diners can browse through Whelehan's Wines' vast selection and pay just €10 corkage on their choice. The restaurant has a full bar with exciting cocktails and an impressive wine list that ranges from €9 a glass to €600 a bottle, including Red, Rosé, Sparkling, White, Magnums, and Specials.

With its striking setting, charming service, and genuine passion for excellent food, Eleven is set to attract diners from all distances, while also becoming the neighborhood restaurant everyone wishes to have in their locale.
