The Academic Announce End of Year Tour Dates

The Academic, fresh from their electrifying performance at Electric Picnic, have exciting news for their Irish fans. They've just announced a series of Irish shows scheduled for November and December.

 Since their debut album, 'Tales From The Backseat,' made a splash in 2018, The Academic has been on a global journey, gracing stages worldwide. Their sophomore record, 'Sitting Pretty,' was released in February of this year and immediately shot to the top of the Irish album charts. This accomplishment marked their second consecutive No.1 album, solidifying their reputation as one of Ireland's most thrilling bands.

'Sitting Pretty' not only builds upon The Academic's impressive collection of indie anthems but takes it to new heights. The new album delivers even more massive singalongs with tracks like 'Don't Take It Personally,' 'My Very Best,' and 'Pushing Up Daisies,' which have become some of the biggest festival anthems of the summer. It's been a whirlwind year for the band, touring relentlessly and sharing their music with fans all over the world. Now, they're thrilled to return home and perform on Irish soil once again.

 Lead vocalist Craig Fitzgerald expressed his excitement, stating,

"We are so thrilled to bring the 'Sitting Pretty' Tour back to Ireland. It's been a whirlwind of a year, and we've had the privilege of performing in so many new countries. However, coming back to Ireland to close out the year is something we're all really excited for."
